SSAY’s 1st Annual HIGH SCHOOL POSTER CONTEST
Subject “Raising awareness about the risks of youth marijuana and alcohol use.”
 

Our goals are to reduce and prevent youth alcohol and marijuana use in Amador County. You are invited to enter the contest by creating a poster that will help raise awareness about the risks involved in using or the benefits of abstaining from or quitting alcohol or marijuana.

• 3 Honorable Mentions of $50 each

CONTEST RULES

• Each poster must be the work of one student.

• The poster concept and design and any photos or artwork used must be the original work of the student entering.

• Posters must be a minimum of 8 ½ x 11 and a maximum of 11 x17 inches in size.

•  The following information must be included on the back of the poster: student’s name, mailing address, e-mail (if available), phone number, school, teacher’s name and grade.

• Posters will be judged on overall impact, effectiveness in conveying the theme, originality and artistic merit. Judges’ decisions are final.

• Digitally created artwork as well as drawing and painting in any media is accepted (pencil, crayon, markers, watercolor, acrylic, etc.)

• All entries become the property of the SSAY Coalition. SSAY may use the artwork submitted for future messaging purposes.

• Winners will be notified by May 1st, 2025

To comply with copyright laws, all artwork must be original to the entrant. Artwork may be inspired by another artists/photographer’s work, but not to the degree that the new piece of artwork is easily recognized as being derivative of another artist’s work.
