Meet The Hive: a welcoming place for Amador students and families
There’s a new resource in Jackson built around a simple idea: everyone deserves a place to turn when life gets hard. It’s called The Hive, and its doors are open.
The Hive is Amador County Unified School District’s Staff, Student, and Family Resource Center — and it’s exactly what it sounds like: a warm, welcoming space where staff, students, and families can access essential resources, basic needs, and guidance to help overcome challenges and thrive.
Whether it’s a bag of groceries, clothing, everyday basics, or a caring person to help you figure out a next step, The Hive is a place where Amador families can find real support — no judgment, just help.
What you’ll find there
The Hive is a hub for the kind of everyday support that helps kids show up ready to learn and helps families steady themselves in tough moments:
Basic needs support — a food pantry, clothing, and essential supplies
Guidance and resource navigation to connect you with the right help
A calm, welcoming space to sit, regroup, and ask questions
Comprehensive services for students and families through trusted local partners
Built on partnership
The Hive is proudly supported through a partnership with Amador County Behavioral Health/Nexus to provide comprehensive services for students and families. That whole-community approach — schools, healthcare, and community organizations pulling in the same direction — is exactly the kind of collaboration SSAY believes in. When our community links arms like this, young people and families feel it.

SSAY Coalition — Substance Solutions for Amador Youth — is a program of ATCAA, funded in part by a federal Drug-Free Communities (DFC) grant focused on preventing youth alcohol and marijuana use.
